Delete your data

How to disconnect an account from Playbuk, remove Playbuk’s access on the platform, and have your data deleted.

1. Disconnect an account in Playbuk

An administrator of your organization can disconnect any connected account at any time:

  1. Sign in at app.playbuk.com.
  2. Go to Admin → Integrations.
  3. Find the account (for example a Facebook Page, Instagram account, Google Analytics property or YouTube channel) and remove it.

When you disconnect an account:

  • Access tokens are deleted straight away. If another connection in your organization still uses the same account, its tokens stay until that connection is removed too.
  • Playbuk’s access is revoked at the platform (Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, TikTok and X) once no Playbuk organization uses that account. LinkedIn and Mailchimp don’t offer a way for apps to revoke access, so for those we delete the tokens and you can remove Playbuk in that platform’s settings. For Brevo, also create a new API key in Brevo to retire the one you gave us.
  • The data we collected from the account is deleted within 30 days. If you reconnect the same account within those 30 days, your history is restored.

2. Remove Playbuk on the platform

You can also remove Playbuk’s access from the platform itself. This stops any new data reaching Playbuk:

  • Facebook and Instagram: on Facebook, open Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, select Playbuk and choose Remove.
  • Google Analytics and YouTube: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, select Playbuk and choose Remove access.

Removing access on the platform doesn’t delete what Playbuk already stored. To delete that too, disconnect the account in Playbuk (step 1) or email us (step 3).

3. Ask us to delete your data

Email [email protected] from the email address on your Playbuk account and tell us what you’d like deleted: the data from one connected account, all of your organization’s connected-account data, or your Playbuk account. We’ll confirm when it’s done, within 30 days.

More about how we handle data from connected accounts is in our privacy notice.
